The best rapper alive

Published by times at 12:09 am under hip-hop, music, rap, hyphy, Bay Area Edit This

I understand that there are plenty of rappers claiming the title of the best rappa alive. Everyone from 2pac to lil wayne, and they all have a point and of course there going to be bias choosing there work over another’s. From an out side view I have three that actually live (or lived) up to the hype. You have to understand my views are bias, I’m from the San Francisco bay area and listen to a genre of hip-hop people call “hyphy”. I love all hip-hop from down south to the east coast but my roots are planted mainly in the soil of the west coast. The number one rapper of all times is 2-pac of course. He took the rap world by storm with his gansta image and pure style and when he spoke you felt him. When he rapped he put emotion in to it that made you shiver with respect. It was a shame that such a talent had to be taken out of this world at the young age of 25. Still managing to take over the record of Jimmy Hendrix of having the most recordings, more then any other musician. Number two is the late under ground Bay Area rapper Mac dre. More personality in his little finger then most of us have in are whole bodies. Mac Dre was the pioneer of the hyphy movement a real mac to say the least. With stuna shades “yoking” a yellow taxi cab at a Oakland side show. Coining the term “go dumb” which is a major saying in the Bay hip-hop circle. Now the number three rapper of all time which just happens to be the best rappa alive is Bay Area rap ledend Andre Nickatina aka. Dre Dog aka The God of Khan. With a distinctive voice and lyrics unparalleled Nicky has been around “since the Tyson era”. One of three rappers that really nailed the art of writing a song that seems to talk about a women but if you listen carefully has a hidden meaning. 2pac did it with “me and my girlfriend” which could have meant just that but if you listen closely his real girlfriend is a gun. Or 50 cents “Baltimore love song” it could be a love song but the real meaning he was referring to heroin and Baltimore’s history of the drug. Dre Dog did it on par with these two hip-hop greats with “my ride”. At the end of the song he recked the car or “girl” and she looked at him and said “man I look so ugly, is there a way you’ll ever love me. No bitch, should have seen it in my eyes I got a brand new vision of a brand new ride. ” If your a hip-hop fan look up Andre Nickatina even if your not from the Bay I guarantee you wont be disappointed. So there’s the top three if you got a better top three I’d like to hear them.
